In the Pasture

  • Weed spray season is in full swing. If you are looking for us to make the application for you, here are the options and the cost. All prices include the chemical and application fee.
  • Grazon Next at 24oz/Acre is $20.28/Acre
  • Grazon P+D 1Qt/Acre is $19.77/Acre
  • Duracor Herbicide 16oz/Acre $23.37/Acre.

These prices are for current chemical inventory and are subject to change when we replenish our supplies. If you still need to purchase chemicals for you own application, stop in the store and stock up.

  • Fertilizer is still reasonable compared to prices last year. Current demand will keep the pricing where it is, but as nationwide demand increases, the pricing will start to increase. Come and get it, while pricing is good.
  • I know it seems early, but now is the time to get on our list for Mesquite Spray. We should be looking for a late June to early July application with a good healthy plant. If you are interested in having us spray, please do not shred or weed spray over the mesquite plants before we make the herbicide application. Current chemical and application cost for 28oz of Sendero and 8oz of Remedy is $45.82/Acre.
  • We have received a lot of questions about thistles this year. They seem to have come out of nowhere with a vengeance. Most of these are at the final stage of their life and are putting on a seed pod or flower bloom. There is not much that you can do at this stage of their life to kill them. Your best option is to save the money and plan to start looking for them in January/February of next year.

In the Animal Pen

  • It is the time of year to get busy on worming your cattle. We always get questions on what is the best to do. One easy and efficient way to worm your cattle is by using the Safeguard Worming Block. This worming block is designed for internal parasites. You should be putting out (1) block per 5-8 head and removing other salt and mineral blocks for the time you have this product in front of your cattle. This month we will take off $5.00/Block. This will last until we run out of current inventory.
  • This month, we are having our Annual Purina Chick Days on April 13-15, 2023. With this event we will have chicken feed specials and product giveaways. For the entire month of April, we will have specials on 50# bags of Purina Start and Grow and 50# Scratch Grains. Come in and help us celebrate.
  • We are in the time of year to provide products to our cattle that have Fly Control. The products that we have available are Wind & Rain Bag Mineral with Fly Control and Wind & Rain Mineral Tubs with Fly Control. For this month only we are taking off $5.00/Bag of the Loose Mineral and $10.00/225# Tub.
