In the Yard
For all those who have been itching to work in your yard, it is time to get busy. Here are a few things to consider.
- We still have a healthy supply of yard fertilizers available. If you have not applied anything yet, now is the time to get busy. Stop in and see the variety of blends available and their multiple uses.
- We have a new supply of plants from Bonnie Plants. The 4.5” Pots are $3.70/Each and the 6Packs are $4.55/Each. If you are looking to fill a few spots in your garden, stop in and grab you a few.

- The recent rain has ignited the optimism of a fruitful spring. If you start seeing weeds and flowers popping up in your pastures, give us a call and get on our spray list. Pricing is below.

In the Animal Pen
- This month, we traditionally run a sale on our leftover stock show feed. Until current inventory is gone, we will sell all show feed and supplements for ½ off!!! We have a variety of cattle, rabbit, lamb, goat, and chicken feed. Stop in the store for some great deals.

– April 18, 2025 – Good Friday = WE WILL BE CLOSED ALL DAY in observance of the religious holiday. We will reopen on Saturday for normal hours.
– May 11, 2025 – MOTHER’S DAY= Do not forget to thank the MOMS in our lives for all they do!
– May 15, 2025 – Reporting planting dates for Corn, Cotton, Beans, and Sorghum for USDA Farm Service Agency. Reporting is due by this date to avoid penalties. For more information, contact Stephanie Riley 361-275-5751 EXT 2.

– May 26, 2025 – 10:30 AM = DeWitt CountyVietnam Veterans Memorial Day Ceremony = DeWitt County Vietnam Veterans Memorial Site–Yorktown, TX. Ceremony is followed by a drawing for the gun raffle.
– May 26, 2025 – CLOSED IN OBSERVANCE OF MEMORIAL DAY. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 7:30 AM.
Manager’s Words
Things are really starting to move and shake here at the store. We are excited for a busy spring and summer. Our trucks are making applications, and our drivers are staying busy. We will have a lot of changes occurring in the next few months around the store. There may be a few disruptions to the appearance and access to the store. Emily has contacted many of our customers and is still available to help each of you meet your animal feeding needs. Please use her as a valuable resource.
