In Our Store

It seems like a lot of reptiles and insects are looking for cool and wet places to hide. This typically means in or around our homes.

  • One new thing that we have in the store to help with insects is Bengal Insecticide and IGR Concentrate $13.75/Package.  This two in one product is designed to kill the insects inside and outside. You can see residual control for up to six months depending on the insects treated.
  • The bugs will really start moving with the warmer weather. We always recommend the tried-and-true options for your home. The options we have available are the Demon Concentrate $34.60/Pint, Demon Water-Soluble Packs $10.10/Each, Cyper WSP Water-Soluble Packs $7.10/Each and Spectracide Home Defense RTU 1.33 Gallon for $22.50/Each.

In the Yard

  • If you have not seen very many snakes, that is likely to change. We have a few products available that you can apply to help keep them away. Snake Stopper by Bonide $16.05/4LB Jug and Dr. T’s Snake A Way $15.75/4 LB Bag. Remember to reapply the product after a rain!

In the Pasture

  • We are in the prime time to get mesquite sprayed. We want to see a dark green plant with no new growth and an elongated bean about 7-10 inches. The chemical combination that we recommend the most is 28oz Sendero, 8oz Remedy, Surfactant $50.12/Acre (Includes Application).
  • As you get your first cutting of hay or clean off your fields, consider an application of 12-16 oz of Roundup to your hay field to clean off undesirable plants. You should do this within 10 days of cutting your field to prevent stunting or hurting your desirable Bermuda grass.

In the Animal Pen

  • This month we will have a special on our Purina Antlermax 20% Deer Protein. A few months ago, Purina updated this product and added some additional features to increase its performance. If you have not considered protein for your deer, put this in your toolbox. Special for the month of July will be $1.00 off per bag.
  • If you have cattle that you are feeding for slaughter or just looking for a good performing and palatable feed, consider the Purina Steakmaker. This textured sweet feed is a great addition to feed your cattle herd. We will take an additional $2.00/Bag off current pricing for the month of July.
  • We will continue our $2.00/Bag off promotion for Purina Precon B-30 this month. With the cost of cattle being high and the over-the-counter products taken away for some health treatments, this can be a good preventative for weaning cattle or ones you are nursing back to better health.
  • In an effort to provide fresher products for our horse customers, Purina has decided to combine the True Choice Horse Feed and the Crossroads All Stock back into the Country Acres Sweet 12 product. You should see this change occur within the next month.
  • We had issues with molded Purina Layena Pellets and Purina Layena Crumbles over the last month. We have reduced our ordering quantities to allow for fresher product.

Manager’s Words

We are seeing the end of our spray window. Most of the weeds have become mature and have already put on their seed head. If you still have a need for us to make an application to target new growth and other plants, give us a call. Now is a good time to assess your fall spraying needs and get a plan together.
