In Our Store
It is really starting to feel like summer. From the summer heat, family leisure time, and MOSQUITOS, we have a variety of items to help you settle right in.
- If you find yourself still trying to take care of the flies and other pests on your cattle, stop in and get you some Eprinex pour on wormer. We are running a special this month for $40.00 off all Eprinex 2.5L Bottles. This will ONLY apply to current inventory.
- If you are looking for easy afternoons in a rocking chair or lazy chair, consider the variety we have available. Kuma Lazy Bear Chair $93.20/Each, Hickory Rocker $216.60/Each, Ash Rocker $89.15/Each.
- Over the years customers have asked if we have burn barrels for trash. We have started carrying a few on hand for $5.00/Each.
- The abundant rains have put many customers in a great position to make some hay. If you catch yourself needing some twine or wrap, stop in to grab you some. We have Bale Twine (Blue 140) $53.15/2 Roll Pack and Bale Net Wrap 67” x 7000FT $307.75/Each.
- At the end of this month, our Local Purina Sales Representative Mike Manning will be retiring. Many of you have interacted with him over the past 25 years and have called him personally for feeding advice. We thank him for his many years of dedication to our store and helping our customers. Going forward if you need some feeding advice, you can stop in the store, call Emily our Local Purina Sales Specialist 361-243-6126, or reach out to our new Purina Sales Representative Colt Mulanax at 830-305-5077.
- Our feed mill is moving along as scheduled. The expectation is that we will be up and running in the second or third week of July. We will get back to making DeWitt Creep and other feeds like before. We will make sure and notify customers when that time comes.

In the Pasture
- Our spray season has been extended due to the abundant rains recently. If you still find yourself looking to make some spray applications, consider using the higher rates of chemicals.
- The rain has brought out all the bugs. If you are looking to eliminate some grasshoppers, worms or even armyworms (Yes, they will be here at some point), consider an application of Lambda Cy (3oz/Acre) or Vantacor (1oz/Acre). Lamda Cy is a restricted chemical and will mostly provide a contact kill for whatever is out in your pasture. Vantacor is a non-restricted chemical and will provide some residual chemical for multiple life cycles of the pest you are targeting.
- The recent rains have really pushed the huisache to a healthy state. If you are interested in us making an application for you, please call and get on our list.
In the Animal Pen
- For the month of July, we plan to discount selected Purina Impact Horse Feeds by $2.00/Bag. This will apply to Purina Impact 12% Textured, Purina Impact 14% Textured and Purina Impact 12% Pellet. We are making a big push to give our customers an opportunity to try this great Horse Feed. - As the summer months continue to scorch their way through, our grass quality will start to diminish. To help you stay ahead with your cattle’s body condition, consider getting you a few of the Purina Accuration Hi Fat Tubs. For the month of July, we will take off $10.00/Tub. Stop in and get you some!

Manager’s Words
This year has continued to bring many positive things for our producers and our business. We have experienced some growing pains this year that have put some of our customers in a position to question us as a dependable supplier for their fertilizer and weed spraying needs. We are working through the challenges to make sure that we can support those needs in the future. We look forward to continuing to be a dependable supplier for you and your property.
Thank you for your business,
