In Our Store
- This month we will hold our annual Purina Flocktober Days October 16th-18th. During these days we will have special sales and giveaways on the popular chicken feeds we carry including Purina Layena Pellets, Purina Layena Crumbles, Purina Scratch Grains, and Purina Farm to Flock Layer Textured Feed.
- We will start a new Fall Feed Contract with Purina this month. This will affect our popular feeds below.

This contract will also affect our 20% Purina Bulk Cubes, bulk Purina Accuration Feed Mixes, and Purina Accuration 32-10 Liquid. Please check with us to see what other popular feeds are affected.
- On Friday, October 24, 2025, we will have a Fish Day here at the store. Henneke Fish Farm from Hallettsville will be here to help you restock your tanks and ponds. Please see details in the store or ask the girls at the front for order forms.

It may seem a little premature to recommend winter treatments for your yard, but here we go. Let’s make it rain.

In the Pasture
- Now is a suitable time to start thinking about getting soil samples. Getting them complete this time of year ensures a timely turn around along with sufficient time to make the applications needed for good spring results. Samples this time of year can provide direction about Ag Lime Applications along with Phosphorus and Potash Applications needed. Please bring us your dirt!
- Even though things are still dry, our wet times will come along. Here are the fall seeds that we still have available.

In the Animal Pen
As part of our Flocktober Days we are going to extend some specials for the entire month for those who LOVE their chickens. This month we are going to discount all these feeds by $2.00/Bag.

- The dry weather has renewed the need for supplements to our cattle cattle’s nutrition. To help our customers with this important piece of the puzzle, we are discounting our Purina Wind & Rain Red Mineral by $4.00/50LB Bag for the entire month of October. Please make sure and stock up at this time.
- We also feel like it is appropriate to help the cattle’s body condition by offering the Purina Accuration Hi Fat Tubs for $4.00 OFF/200 LB Tub for the entire month. Stop in and grab a few.
In the Great Outdoors
- On Saturday, November 1, 2025, we will have our annual opening day of deer season event. This will include giveaways of T-shirts, caps, hunting gear, and even donuts for breakfast. Make sure to put this date on your calendar.
- We have a new supply of feeder parts to fix your deer feeders. Whether you need timers, batteries, motors, or a whole new feeder, please stop on and let us get you fixed up.

-November 11, 2025- Veteran’s Day Ceremony = DeWitt County Veterans Center – 901 E. Hwy 72 Yorktown TX = Ceremony will start at 11:00 AM with a speaker and ceremony celebrating all those who have served.
